Welcome to Your Mountain Getaway at Beech Top!
Enjoy expansive and unobstructed 180° mountain views from this spacious yet cozy cabin just steps away from Beech Mountain ski slopes. At an elevation of 5,387 feet (higher than a mile) above sea level, this is not only our highest elevation vacation home but one of the highest homes on the East Coast! Full eastern exposure gives you the perfect opportunity to catch a mountain sunrise.
Located in the gated Beechtop Subdivision adjacent to Upper Shawneehaw Ski Slope, the cabin features flexible sleeping arrangements, including 2 King bedrooms on the main level, 2 queen beds in the upper loft bedroom, and a pull-out sleeper sofa downstairs in the second living room. Enjoy cooking in the fully furnished kitchen with granite countertops and bar. Flanking both sides of the home are decks with a fire table and ample seating to take in skiers on the slopes and the 120-mile views overlooking Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain, and the Appalachian Mountain chain.
Unwind after your outdoor adventures with a wood-burning fireplace, a board game, book, or your favorite show streamed from one of the 5 SmartTVs. If you’re visiting in the warmer months, enjoy mountain biking, disc golf, or hiking one of the numerous trails within minutes of the cabin. Or relax while watching the deer, hummingbirds, and other wildlife from the comfort of the living room or outdoor patios.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON WINTER ACCESS:
The winter climate, elevation, narrow road, and proximity to snow-making equipment create unique access challenges for guests who travel to Beech Top during the snow making season (November through end of March). Arrangements via the Property Owners Association are made to clear snow once a week (Thursday or Friday generally). In addition, the owners of Beech Top have made separate arrangements to have the road and the driveway plowed on guest arrival and departure days. The timing of these plowings and the effectiveness of these plowings (e.g. there could be cars in the drive at the time of plowing) cannot be guaranteed.
4WD AND CHAINS are necessary in winter. Snow Shovels are available at the property to aid guests in clearing the drive during their reservation. While strong efforts are in place to mitigate issues, guests need to understand that circumstances outside of our control may require them to walk to and from the property. Snow can get deep enough to make it accessible only by parking at a lower elevation public parking spot and walking up to 1/2 mile to the home. Carolina Cabin Rentals cannot offer assistance with navigating snow and ice. There is no refund due to the inability to access or egress because of these disclosed conditions. Expect to confront this challenge independently!

CANCELLATION POLICY:
You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
