Welcome to Chandler Escape!  

Chandler Escape is an expansive, 5 bedroom, mountain home, ideally located between Blowing Rock and Boone and less than 5 minutes to either town. Tweetsie Railroad is only 1 mile away, and both the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Ski Mountain are less than 4 miles away! The middle/south fork of the New River is less than a mile away, and the Watauga River is a 10-mile drive. Bass Lake and Trout Lake are both close by, about 6 miles from Chandler. Also conveniently close by are Moses Cone Manor and Memorial Park (about 6 miles away), Sky Valley Zip Line Tours (less than 6 miles away), and The Blowing Rock natural attraction (also 6 miles away). The Boone Golf Club is a short, 2.5-mile drive from Chandler.

Appalachian State University's main campus in Boone is less than 5 miles away The village of Valle Crucis, with its wonderful riverfront community park and the Original Mast General Store is a 12-mile drive. The town of Seven Devils, with its Otter Falls trails and the Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zip Lines, is about 15 miles away. Grandfather Mountain and its popular Profile Trail are about 18 miles away. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is less than 20 miles away, and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is less than 25 miles away. The town of Banner Elk is about 20 miles away, and West Jefferson is less than 30 miles away.

The main level of Chandler Escape includes the kitchen, dining, and living room. The kitchen has granite counters and stainless appliances - including a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and a gas cooktop. The adjacent dining area is open to the living room and the kitchen, only separated from the kitchen by a bar-height island with bar stool seating for two. The large banquet-style dining table seats ten guests. The sunroom has another dining table for two, so Chandler Escape can dine a total of 14 guests between the sunroom, dining table, and adjacent bar top. The sunroom also has a built-in, open gas grill and sink with a slate countertop, and is wrapped in stacked stone. The sunroom also offers a comfy sitting area where you can enjoy the mountain views. There is an attached garage and a covered front porch with a quiet sitting area.  

Also on the main level is the primary master bedroom suite, with a king bed, an HD Smart TV, a cozy sitting area with a loveseat which also opens up to provide a twin sleeper bed, a walk-in closet, and a private ensuite master bathroom with a 'his and hers' quartz vanity with double sinks, a jetted soaking tub underneath large windows which open to mountain views, and a separate tiled shower with a frameless glass door. There is a second king bedroom on the main level with an HD Smart TV, and a third bedroom with a queen bed and an HD Smart TV. Adjacent to these two bedrooms is a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo which also serves as the main level common bathroom.

At the foot of the stairs on the lower level, you walk into the game room which has an eight-foot slate pool table. There is a counter-height table with bar stool seating as well as glass doors leading out to the lower rear deck and the mountain views. Next to the game room is a cool family room with a large bar and kitchenette, complete with lots of countertop and bar top space with bar stool seating, plenty of cabinetry, a kitchen sink, a microwave, and a dishwasher. The bar and kitchenette are open to a warm, comfy den with leather furniture and a huge HD Smart TV with an Xbox One, the ideal room for watching the ball games, and for playing games or enjoying all of the options available with the Xbox One game console. Adjacent to the family room is a cozy theater room with a huge HD Smart TV and BluRay player, reclining theater-style seating, as well as bean bags for the children. The lower rear deck has more outdoor seating and a hot tub. Exterior stairs go down into the charming fenced back yard, which is rolling and surrounded by hardwood trees. 

Also on the lower level are two more bedrooms, one of which has a bunk bed that can sleep 3 with a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a twin trundle bed that rolls out from beneath the lower bunk. The bunk bedroom also has an HD Smart TV. The other bedroom on the lower level has a king bed, an HD Smart TV, and a huge window which frames mountain views. There is another full bathroom that is between these two bedrooms, accessible from the central hallway, so it is convenient to the entire lower level.  

In addition to the aforementioned hot tub, pool table, garage, mountain views, theater room, bar/second kitchenette downstairs, sunroom with gas grill, Chandler Escape has a laundry room with a washer and dryer, central heating and air conditioning for year-round comfort, a total of eight (8) HD Smart TVs, all of which have digital cable TV programming, as well as access to Netflix and numerous other internet TV options. There is a BluRay and DVD player in the house, as well as an Xbox One game console with controllers and games. This is an ideal place to enjoy the High Country with your family and friends. While it is both convenient and close to many destinations, it offers more than enough to do to have a fun vacation without leaving the comfort of the property.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. But you may recover the entire amount if travel insurance was purchased and the reason for the cancellation was covered.
