Welcome to Gloria Hill!

Gloria Hill is a spacious, upscale, 5-bedroom/4.5-bathroom lodge on Beech Mountain with long-range mountain views, a hot tub, a game room with a pool table, central heating and air conditioning, a wood-burning fireplace, an outdoor fire pit, and much more. The house can accommodate 14 guests and provide fun during all four seasons. Gloria Hill is less than a mile from the slopes of Beech Mountain Ski Resort. Nearby is Buckeye Lake Recreation Center, which has indoor and outdoor sporting fields and courts for soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, softball, and baseball, as well as an outdoor climbing frame and a playground, an obstacle course, and of course, Buckeye Lake, for fishing kayaking and canoeing.  

The main level of Gloria Hill features an open-concept great room and dining room with custom European Oak floors and expansive long-range mountain-top views! The great room has comfortable contemporary furniture, an impressive stone floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace, and a large HDTV. The primary dining table seats 8 guests comfortably, has 2 additional corner chairs, and a bar top that accommodates 2. The adjacent breakfast table seats four more, accommodating up to 16 in the dining area and the adjoining kitchen. The custom kitchen has been renovated and features Quartz countertops, custom contemporary shaker-style cabinets, and stainless appliances with a gas cooktop. A powder room/half bathroom is also on the main level.

The master suite is on the main level. It has Pecky Cypress tongue-and-groove cathedral ceilings, a king-size bed, an HD Smart TV, a stunning ensuite bathroom with his-and-hers double vanities, and a huge tiled shower with frameless glass doors. 

Wrap-around decks on the primary and lower levels are open to endless mountain views and the Beech Mountain Golf Course below. The main level deck has an outdoor dining table and plenty of comfortable deck seating. The lower level deck hosts the hot tub and more comfy outdoor living space and has exterior steps down to the lower paved parking area, the backyard, the charcoal grill, and the fire pit. Guests should bring their charcoal. There is a plastic bin to store it and an ash bucket and shovel for disposal of used charcoal.

The upstairs features a loft with an open railing that also features stunning views and looks down into the great room and up at the vaulted Cypress wood tongue-and-groove ceilings. There is a queen bedroom with an HD Smart TV and a bunk bedroom with a queen-over-queen log-hewn bunk bed and an HD Smart TV. They share a central Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a tub and shower combo. These two bedrooms feature vaulted ceilings, and the queen bedroom has fantastic views extending over the range.

The lower level has a huge family room with a den wrapped in reclaimed barn wood accent walls. It has an HD Smart TV with surround sound, a BluRay DVD player, and a tray ceiling to help localize the audio. The owners have provided an HDMI cable to hook up your own gaming system. There is a slate pool table and access to the lower-level deck and the hot tub. The king bedroom suite on the lower level has an HD Smart TV and a private ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower combo. There is also a bunk bedroom on the lower level with another queen-over-queen, log-hewn bunk bed and an HD Smart TV. There is a second full bathroom downstairs, accessible to the bunk bedroom and the family room, featuring a gorgeous slate-tiled shower with frameless glass doors, a granite vanity, and even a window to look out at the mountains. The lower-level bedrooms also have Pecky Cypress tongue-and-groove ceilings.

Gloria Hill really does have it all! Buckeye Lake Recreation Center is another destination for indoor and outdoor activities and sports. The house is chock full of comforts and luxuries that everyone will enjoy, including central heating and air conditioning, a washer and dryer, WiFi internet, Roku devices on seven (7) HD Smart TVs, a fireplace, and a fire pit outside. Dogs are welcome with your reservation, two (2) maximum, with a 50-pound weight limit per pet. Guests must bring a crate and kennel the dog anytime it is unattended. Standard pet fees apply.

Although on Beech Mountain, there are many other things to do off of Beech Mountain that are convenient to Gloria Hill. Downtown Banner Elk is at the foot of Beech Mountain, about 5 miles away. Grandfather Mountain and its famous Profile hiking trails are about 10 miles. The town of Seven Devils, which features Otter Falls Trail and Hawksnest with snow tubing and zipline tours, is about 16 miles away. If you need a break from Beech Mountain Ski Resort and want to check out the nearby Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, it is only a 9.5-mile drive. The towns of Boone and Blowing Rock are about 20 miles away, and the village of Valle Crucis, with the Original Mast General Store and the riverfront community park, is only 13 miles away. Watauga Lake is less than 20 miles away, and Tweetsie Railroad Theme Park is about 24 miles. Linville Falls and Linville Caverns are about 25 miles away. These and many, many more are conveniently close to Gloria Hill.

There is a four-car limit for parking in front of the property, with parking diagonally the optimal way to fit your cars.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
