The Hideaway Cottage is a unique old-world experience. The construction is rock, slate, and old wood. If you went to a camp in the mountains in the 70s and 80s, the interior will be very nostalgic. Please note that the photos are brighter than the experience. This is necessary to present the detail about the property. If you're looking for luxury or warmth, this property will disappoint you. But if you're looking for a unique, old-world experience close to Banner Elk and Grandfather Mountain, then the Dumont properties are a charm.
There are three Chateau Dumont properties situated around a shared courtyard area. This is fun if you have three groups who want to vacation together.
MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO BOOK
CANCELLATION POLICY:
You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. But you may recover the entire amount if travel insurance was purchased and the reason for the cancellation was covered.
*Please keep in mind that the Hideaway Cottage does not have a full kitchen, and does not have any cooking capabilities! There is a mini-fridge and a coffee maker here, as well as silverware, drinking glasses, etc., so guests can bring in take-out or take-home/delivery, but do not choose this cottage - maybe consider one of the other two DuMont cottages - if you will require a full kitchen during your stay**
