Welcome to A Frame of Mind!
A Frame of Mind is a 5 BR/3BA A-frame home within walking distance of the Shawneehaw slope of Beech Mountain Ski Resort. This ski resort also has an ice skating rink, snow tubing, terrain parks for winter activities, and mountain bike and hiking trails. Disk golf is available in the summer. Less than 15 minutes away is the Buckeye Recreation Center with playground equipment, volleyball and tennis courts, a fitness area, and Buckeye Lake for fishing and boating. The town of Banner Elk is 10 minutes away, with delicious restaurants and shopping. A few other local attractions within a 15-minute drive include Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Sugar Creek Gem Mining, and the Banner Elk Winery.
This cozy, mountaintop A-frame home boasts an open floor plan in the main living area. Comfy seating surrounds a large HDTV and wood-burning fireplace, and the kitchen has live edge wood countertops, stainless steel appliances, and seating for eight (8) at the dining table. There is also a deck with a shed for ski gear and a wood-burning fire pit in the yard. Sleeping accommodations for the main level include a king and a queen bedroom that share a full bathroom with a combination tub and shower.
The upstairs loft holds the master bedroom with a king bed, an HDTV, a private veranda overlooking the mountains, and a full bathroom with a clawfoot tub. This room is open to the main level but is tucked down a hallway for privacy.
Downstairs, the lower-level den welcomes guests with cozy seating around a wood-burning fireplace and large HDTV. There is also a foosball table, wet bar, and access to the hot tub right outside the den. A rippling mountain stream outside the den creates a relaxing ambiance and an opportunity to explore. Sleeping accommodations on the lower level include a king room and a double-over-double bunk room. They share a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The laundry area is located in the bunk room.

Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
