Deerwood Retreat Description
Welcome to Deerwood Retreat, a mountaintop haven where families and friends can slow down, reconnect, and soak in breathtaking views together.
Deerwood Retreat is a welcoming mountain escape perched at 4,700 feet, where refreshing breezes and layered, long-range views set the scene for relaxation. From the comfort of the living room couch, the bubbling hot tub, or one of three spacious decks, you’ll enjoy sweeping vistas that even include the iconic Grandfather Mountain. In summer, guests love the cool mountain air, while winter brings the perfect excuse to snuggle up by either the indoor gas fireplace or the outdoor wood-burning hearth.
Designed with both couples and families in mind, the home offers a main-level master suite with a king bed and private ensuite, a lower-level queen bedroom, and a cheerful bunk room complete with a foosball table. In the lower level hallway, guests will also find an arcade game for added entertainment. For additional sleeping space, the living room includes a pull-out sofa, ideal for extra guests or kids’ sleepovers. Children will also love the miniature cabin-style treehouse on the deck and the backyard fairy garden, where bridges, toadstools, and wildflowers spark hours of imaginative play.
The location makes it easy to enjoy the High Country. You’re just a short drive from Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Banner Elk, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Guests also have access to Seven Devils tennis courts and Otter Falls Trail, plus endless hiking at Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls. Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Lines are right down the road, while fishing, gem mining, and river adventures add even more fun for all ages.
