Elderberry Escape Description

Welcome to Elderberry Escape

Elderberry Escape is a fantastic property with magnificent views, easy access, and a short walk to town. It is located on a large lot just as you enter the Town of Beech Mountain and has views of Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain and north into Tennessee.

It is located on the Banner Elk side of the town and so offers the convenience of being close to all that Beech Mountain and Banner Elk have to offer. The Town of Beech Mountain is less than two minutes away, the slopes are less than 5 minutes on the main road, and downtown Banner Elk is about 8 minutes away.

The home itself is a relaxing and comfortable escape. There are wonderful views from the wall of windows in the main living area, dining areas, the king master bedroom, and even the kitchen. The living room has gas logs and plush seating with a large mounted flat-screen TV above the fireplace. There is seating for 6 at the main dining table plus 4 additional seats at the breakfast table, as well as 4 more at the kitchen bar.

There are spacious decks with 6 Adirondack style chairs on the balcony, with table seating for 4, a table and 4 chairs on the lower level patio, along with a hot tub. The deck furniture was added after the photos were taken.

Beautiful house with plenty of space and beds for our party of 10…. Kitchen was well equipped although we did bring some items from home in anticipation of big meal prep… House was quiet and plenty of wildlife viewing… It's also close to the cozy town of Beech Mountain…. The house is located on top of the mountain which makes for a great drive up and down….

The house was stunning! This is our second time at least renting through Carolina Cabin Rentals, our other home 2 years ago was only a few houses up from this one, and we highly recommend! This cabin has it all. It is large, has plenty of rooms and beds, has great views of the mountains, and best of all is within walking distance to restaurants, bars, mini golf, groceries, and more! The pool table, hot tub, and gas fire pit were all wonderful added bonuses. One thing: when we went, the house did note have olive oil, salt/pepper, aluminum foil, etc. but did have pretty much everything else we needed.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this house. The views were amazing. After not being here in Beech Mountain for 20 years, this house didn't disappoint. Enough room for everybody. The layout worked out very well with our grandchildren and children. We will definitely rebook this same place again. Elderberry Escape is the place to be on each mountain. This house was perfect for us. Very clean house, spacious for our 2 families (4 adults and 6 kids) and the view was AMAZING. Close proximity to all kinds of hiking and family activities (we went in early summer). We appreciated all the seating areas for dining and watching TV. We also enjoyed the fire pit and grilled out several nights. We'll definitely be returning.

Beautiful property with a beautiful view! Read your emails ahead of time as you need to bring your own linens if you want more than 1 towel and 2 dishcloths. Bring your own trash bags and toilet paper too. House didn't have any hot pads or oven mits and only 5 spoons. I would still recommend the house as it's beautiful. Just be prepared to bring a lot of your own items from home to fully enjoy the experience.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Plenty of room and space for everyone and the house had everything we needed. There were a few burned out light bulbs, but no big deal. We were very happy with this house! Skiing Beech Mountain, customer service, long lines, road maintenance is a completely different issue!

Elderberry Escape never disappoints. I'm not quite sure how many times we have stayed at this magnificent home (we have lost count) but each time our visit gets better and better. The home is spacious providing each family we stay with (this time it was 3 - 7 adults and 4 children) space of our own and several gathering locations to connect over meals, games, the fire pit, spa or just relaxing on the couch. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and the laundry room comes in handing allowing us to pack less. Don't think twice about selecting this property - you won't be disappointed.

My family enjoyed the secludedness and quietness.. we didn't realize that there was no air conditioning but with the ceiling fans we were comfortable and the temperature really drops at night..we did run into a few bugs the first night inside of the hallway but after the first night we were bug free..we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic Getaway!

This house was perfect for our big family of 8. The master bed and bath is gorgeous and updated with amazing views. The deck is sprawling with uninterrupted views of the mountains and valley. The layout is perfect for everyone to spread out and have some privacy if needed. The location of the house is perfect if you like to start your days out with a nice stroll. We had a baby so being able to take the stroller and walk to town was a huge plus. Its a more modern house so youre not getting a cabin feel but the owners have done a great enough job that you feel cozy and refreshed when you stay. There isnt much more one should expect from a rental property. Its big, nice, and functional. We will be using the services from CCR again in the future thats for sure!

Elderberry Escape EXCEEDS ALL Expectations

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this property and it never fails to exceed our expectations. Since our last visit the home has undergone major renovations including a new kitchen and bathroom, all appliances are brand new and so are the carpets and window treatments - although who would use them with the GORGEOUS views this property offers. While our group was small this time we have had a full house in the past and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and find their own space. Don't think twice about booking this home for your next trip - walking distance to restaurants, the grocery store and several activities and just a short ride to the slopes/trails. We already have our winter reservation on the books - you should too!

Perfect house for a big group

We had 13 people in our party. 8 adults and 5 kids (ages 3-9). The driveway was big enough to park & maneuver 4 vehicles. We put one in the garage. I do wish the downstairs bedroom had a lock on the side of the door facing the guest bedroom from the kids room for privacy. Not all of the jets on the hot tub were working but it was still nice. We did have a leak on the last day. The half bath in the living room area off the kitchen was leaking into the kids room area downstairs. The location is great. We did not need 4wd on our trip BUT if it did snow or ice it would definitely be needed and chains on the tires. We had a great view from the upstairs and the deck area.

Loved, loved, loved the house AND view! Plenty of room for the family. We played pool and truly enjoyed the fireplaces inside and on deck. Sitting on the deck each morning watching the clouds go passed was wonderful. And night sitting around the fire pit was the perfect end to a day of adventures. We're already thinking how we can get the family together to go up for a holiday.

Me and my family had a great time the house beautiful nice clean had very lil problems but it was taken care of promptly. The view breath taken close to grocery stores other shopping not to far off slopes very close walking but the view just breath taken. Needless to say my next visit summer.oh hot tub speechless.

This is a very nice house in an excellent location. We had 6 adults and 4 children in our party and had plenty of room. The extra refrigerator in the garage was much used and appreciated. Just having the garage was a big plus. A few things that would make this house an even better choice are: 1)Curtains or blinds for master bedroom window and door - an absolute must!! 2)More large pots and pans - replace those that are in bad condition.3)Repair the refrigerator's ice-maker 4)Supply at least one extra bag for each trash and recycling container outside.

Very nice place. Was 7 of us. Enjoyed it very much. Arrived before cleaning lady was finished but she was very nice. We arrived early. Did not get a chance to enjoy hot tub. Did cook out on grill and enjoy fire pit. Would definitely stay here again!

My birthday weekend of 4/27-4/30 consist of 9 women, enjoying a lady's weekend get away. We had the most amazing time ever. This place is absolutely Gorgeous. We had the best time ever staying here. I don't have a negative comment to make. The weather was nice and we made the best of it. Anyone that choose to stay at Elderberry Escape will not be dissatisfied. It was clean, very spacious, we managed to keep warm, etc. I would definitely return here. If i could give 10 stars, I would.

We recently stayed at this home and loved it! The view, the accommodations, all ideal for a couples getaway. My husband and I stayed with 4 other couples and enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. The only problem was the hot water didn't last very long. I'm an early bird anyway so I woke up and took a shower first thing in the AM (I had hot water). You can tell the house needs some updating and normal maintenance for a home but it was spacious and gorgeous! No real complaints here!

We enjoyed the stay at the Elderberry Escape. Looked as if the outside had been updated. The inside could use a through deep cleaning. Under the kitchen sink was leaking water as there was a bowl and a vase to catch water. Didn't realize and next thing we knew water was running in the floor. Called and it was fixed quickly. With 12 people we ran out of hot water a couple times. The weather was not what we were hoping for, but we made the best of it. House is within walking distance of Beech Mtn.

The location was perfect and easy to find. I would suggest better cooking/serving dish items that would accommodate the amount of people that the location holds. There was only a basic set of 4 pot/pans and sets of 6 I believe coffee cups among some other things. If you have a full house of 12 that the property can hold, this makes it hard.

Beautiful view. Deer were at the edge of the woods in the morning and in the early evening. Beautiful. The house was perfect. The TV keep coming and going. Hard to watch a whole show. But I had a wonderful time
