Welcome to Grandfather Cottage!
Grandfather Cottage is cozy home in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains located between Boone and Banner Elk, giving you access to year-round High Country adventure. The home is located within walking distance of Grandfather Vineyard, offering wine, food trucks, and live music. The Greater Foscoe Gem Mining Company and Foscoe Fishing Company are both about five minutes away. Sugar Mountain is about fifteen minutes from the cottage and offers winter activities like skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. Sugar Mountain has a public golf course and tennis courts for summer excitement. The golf course hosts sledding in the winter. Downtown Banner Elk offers local shopping, dining, breweries, and parks. Boone is about twenty minutes away and features restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities including parks, the Farmer’s Market, Horn in the West, and concerts.
