Welcome to High Peak Retreat!
High Peak Retreat is an upscale log cabin with long range mountain views while being well located just a half-mile off of the Blue Ridge Parkway, less than 5 miles to downtown Blowing Rock, 6 miles to Appalachian Ski Mountain, and 8 miles to Boone.
Shopping, Restaurants, Horseback Riding, Gem Mining, Sight-seeing, Snow Skiing/Snow Boarding/Ice Skating/Snow Tubing/Sledding, and other family-friendly activities are all within minutes of this conveniently-located vacation home. Hiking, walking, and Riding trails abound, some within a mile or two of High Peak Retreat, including the well-known Mountains to Sea Trail. Numerous lakes and rivers are nearby as well. Enjoy its serene setting in an established mountain community that is central and convenient to Blowing Rock, Boone, and all the High Country has to offer.
Entry through the main level covered patio door directly from the paved parking area makes convenient one step access. The main level features an open concept living area, with stacked stone gas log fireplace, leather furniture and a big screen TV. Large windows let the mountain view into wood interior living space. The Kitchen is equipped with stainless appliances and granite counter tops, with a stainless basin sink and large center island providing convenience for preparing meals. Next to the kitchen is the dining table with seating for eight, plus seating for four at the island providing dining seating for a full house. Outside of the main level is an outdoor deck overlooking the long range view with a gas grill, gas fire pit and outdoor dining tables.
This unique cabin includes three bedrooms all on main level including a master suite with a King bed, TV, deck access and a full ensuite bathroom. The queen bedroom has deck access, TV, and a full hallway bathroom nearby with a tiled tub and shower combo. The bunk room is filled with fun games, includes a TV and ensuite bathroom with a custom tile and stone step in shower. The bunk room has two twin over double bunks for sleeping up to six.
The lower level features a game room with a pool table and a Pac-Man arcade game. There is a leather Restoration Hardware sofa in the lower level that converts to a comfortable queen bed. Also accessible from the lower level patio with a the luxury hot tub, from which guests can enjoy sunny days, starry nights, and those priceless mountain views.
High Peak Retreat offers central heating and air conditioning on the main level and mini-splits in the lower level for year-round comfort, plus high-speed WiFi internet. Each TV throughout has paid TV programing apps.The quality and care with which the owner of High Peak Retreat has furnished and outfitted this beautiful mountain cabin are exceptional.

The approach to High Peak Retreat is all paved roads, and a paved driveway leads you to the house. For those with electric vehicles, take advantage of one of the very few area homes with an EV charger. 4WD or AWD vehicles are still recommended for winter travelers, and at times of deep snow or icy roads, chains may be needed to navigate the mountains. High Peak retreat is not pet friendly, thank you for not bringing pets to this home.
