Laurel Creek Cabin, located five minutes from downtown Boone and Appalachian State University, is ideally suited as your home base when you explore all Boone and the High Country offers. Downtown Boone has an abundance of local dining and shopping options and is the perfect town for a leisurely stroll. Willow Valley Golf Course is five minutes away, and the Valle Crucis Community is less than fifteen minutes down the road. Valle Crucis is home to the historic Mast General Store and the waterfront Valle Crucis Community Park, which has river access, playgrounds, ball courts, and a stage for seasonal concerts. Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Boone Golf Course, High Gravity Adventures Aerial Park, Grandfather Winery, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, and many more High Country adventures are all within a brief 20-minute drive.

A spacious living room with a custom wooden accent wall and high ceilings greet you upon entrance at Laurel Creek Cabin. The large, comfortable sectional has enough room for the whole family to curl up and watch a favorite movie. The bureau has plenty of board games for a friendly family game night. The dining area has seating for six guests and is adjacent to the galley-style kitchen, outfitted with stainless steel appliances. On the covered deck, accessed from the living room, relax in the unique swing bed with a book or nap in the fresh mountain air and shade of the wooded lot. The fire pit in the sideyard is sure to be a gathering place for guests to roast marshmallows and unwind after a day of exploring the high country.

Laurel Creek Cabin is a three-level home that can accommodate nine guests in three bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the top floor and features a king bed, a Smart TV, a private ensuite bathroom, a dedicated workspace, and a spacious walk-in closet. The kids in the group will find the charming bunk room on the main level their favorite place to hang out. There are accommodations for five in a queen bed and three twin beds, and a full bathroom in the hallway. The lower level has an additional bedroom with a twin daybed and trundle. This bedroom has access to the lower-level patio. The lower level also has a full bathroom for guests.

Additional amenities include central heating and cooling, WiFi, and a washer and dryer. The Smart TVs allow guests to log into their streaming accounts. The paved driveway is very steep and has room for two vehicles. We recommend AWD or 4WD and snow chains for winter travelers. 

Note: Guests can park year-round in a secondary gravel parking area below the house. Guests will need to utilize the secondary parking area during winter weather. Access to the house from this parking area is about forty steps uphill, followed by a level 40-yard path through the woods.

You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
