Misty Mountain Cabin Description
Welcome to Misty Mountain Cabin!
If you are looking to get back to nature while still having the comforts of town, discover this hidden treasure just two (2) miles off Main Street in downtown Blowing Rock. Surrounded by Pisgah National Forest on almost all sides, this 3BR 2.5BA cabin opens up to long-range mountain views!Suitable for a romantic weekend or a family gathering, this cozy cabin has comfortable accommodations for up to eight. On the main floor, enjoy long-range mountain views from the open great room and dining area. After an active day enjoying nature or shopping and dining in Blowing Rock, gather for a meal or a board game around a lovely artisan, hand-crafted dining table that can seat up to 8 people, right off the well-stocked kitchen. A wood-burning stove, recliner-rockers, a flat-screen TV, a 5-person hot tub, and vaulted ceilings allow you to enjoy the mountain ambiance regardless of any inclement weather.
After a day of fresh mountain air, enjoy a deep, restful sleep on the memory foam King bed in the main floor king master suite. The master also has a wall-mounted HDTV, a spacious full bathroom featuring an oversized jetted tub, and a walk-in closet located down the hall from the main living and dining areas. There is a half-bath/powder room convenient to guests just off the great room. Downstairs, find two (2) more bedrooms, a second full bath, a laundry room, and a second living space with a nice fire feature where you can relax with a book or for a friendly game of chess.
Outdoors, enjoy a covered front porch, a large open-air back deck, a fenced yard, a stone patio, a stacked stone fire pit with a picnic table and folding chairs, a five (5) person hot tub, and a level parking area. Begin your day with breakfast at the back deck table, or end the day contemplating amazing sunsets in the deck rocking chairs. For a different long-range mountain view, another patio set is available on the lower stone deck, which has access to a large fenced-in yard.
Whatever your vacation needs, you will leave Misty Mountain renewed and refreshed. Welcome!
*Access to Misty Mountain is via a state-maintained road (though bumpy and gravel) from the center of Blowing Rock for 2 miles. Guests should be prepared to drive slowly. 4WD is necessary during winter weather. Motorcycles are not recommended on this road.*
