Misty Ridge Lodge

4 Stars

The view was absolutley gorgeous from every room in the house. The house also provided plenty of space.

Beautiful home and great location

We liked this home so much we have rented it twice. It is close to downtown Blowing Rock and Appalachian ski mountain. We stay in the winter months and they try to keep the roads maintained. Having the two living rooms is a plus for our group. The teens love the downstairs. Home is clean and has a warm cozy feel to it. Kitchen is stocked with what we need. Driveway is a little awkward. Can fit two cars. It has a speedbump type thing around where you park. I would not recommend bringing a lower vehicle.

Lovely, well-stocked, beautifully decorated home!!

Beautiful mountainside home

We were very pleased with the house. It was clean and well maintained, with all the conveniences we needed to enjoy our stay, including kitchen utensils and cookware. The bedroom we used (on the main floor) was comfortable, and the furniture throughout the house was in excellent condition and ample. The Roku TVs (at least the 2 we used) functioned as expected and the Wi-Fi was flawless during our stay. There was more than enough comfortable outdoor seating on the spacious decks to enjoy the mountain climate, and the view from the upper deck was impressive, even with the summer foliage. Although it is a bit on the expensive side, we would definitely recommend this home, especially to larger groups.

Spacious home with magical views!

This home is amazing! We had a large group of 12 and there was more than enough room for all of us. We never felt cramped for space or like we were on top of each other. The home was clean and had all the things we needed to cook. We especially enjoyed relaxing and chatting on the upstairs balcony and downstairs porch. The view from inside and outside were incredible. The neighborhood was quite and they have an amazing outlook just right up the street with unobstructed views of the mountains. Highly recommend this place for anyone that is wanting to spend time in Blowing Rock with a large group of people!

Wonderful Property

We were a party of 12: 6 adults and 6 children ranging in age from 7 to 11. The property had just the right amount of space for our group. The downstairs bunk room, bar and game room were crucial for us to be able to spread out. The decks on the back of the house were excellent for coffee and cocktails. While the downstairs bathrooms may have been a little tight for the adults to share, it worked out fine. The upstairs master bedroom and bathroom are massive and very well appointed. The house was clean and the wi-fi was sufficient. The kitchen is stocked with most necessities from a hardware standpoint, but there is little else in the way of cooking supplies such as spices, oil, etc. I would recommend checking in, doing inventory and then heading to the grocery store. There is a traditional coffee pot as well as a K-cup maker! The location couldn't have been better for our group. 10 minutes from downtown Blowing Rock and right off of 221 for easy access to hikes as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway. The neighborhood is very nice with beautiful homes and vegetation all around. The property was very quiet! My only recommendation for the owner/management company would be to provide a hard copy manual/information sheet with some details specific to the property and leave on site. We weren't aware that there were trash cans outside and took all of our garbage to the dump. We had an excellent trip and hope to make it back next summer!

Absolutely Perfect

The pictures do not do this place justice! It was absolutely amazing. The views are breathtaking and every detail has been thought of. The kids absolutely loved the bunkroom! We went to Tweetsie Christmas during our stay which was only 15 minutes away and hiked at Moses Cone Park which was also really close. The neighborhood is gorgeous, make sure you take a walk up the road from the house for another great view and pictures! The rental company was very responsive and emailed me back immediately after house when I couldn't find my email that had the wifi passcode.

Great family Gathering Home

by Eugene 2021-08-02

5/5

We loved our stay its a very convenient location with great views. The decks are great. Easily accommodated our adult children and 3 grand kids. The Gas Firepit, fooseball table and PacMan table were big hits. I do have suggestions for the owner not complaints but improvements. The dining room windows and view are spectacular but some shades or blinds would be nice to protect against the evening sun. It got very hot and no AC outlets there. The AC ran constantly and didn't keep up with cooling the living area but the bedroom was freezing.

This lodge is amazing!!!

We had an amazing time at Misty Ridge Lodge! The cabin included all the amenities we needed, including a fully loaded spice cabinet. The beds were very comfortable and the home was very clean. One minor incovenience was that we could not figure out how to lower the AC in the master bedroom. We ended up having to close the vents, which did the trick.
