Welcome to Mountain Heir!
Mountain Heir is located Between Boone and West Jefferson with easy access off highways 421 and 221. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about one mile from the cabin, offering convenient access the overlooks and hiking trails. Boone is ten miles from the cabin, offering access to many attractions, including Appalachian State University, parks, and Boone Golf Course. West Jefferson, a quaint mountain town, is thirteen miles away and offers local shops and restaurants and the famous Ashe County Cheese. The Ashe County park offers public tennis and basketball courts and a large playground. Enjoy a glass of wine and live music at Old Barn Winery or play a round of golf at Mountain Air Golf Course, both about fifteen minutes from the home. Several hiking trials are minutes away, including EB Jeffress Park and Todd Island Park. Float on the river, or rent a canoe from Zaloo’s Canoes, twenty minutes away. The town of Blowing Rock is about thirty minutes away and offers skiing, shopping, restaurants, and a community park.

Upon entering the home, guests are treated with beautiful tongue and groove walls and vaulted ceilings that add warmth to the space. Floor to ceilings windows frame the stone gas fireplace and provide natural light to the open main floor. The living area features a large sectional situated around the fireplace and TV, creating a cozy environment, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the High Country. The dining area is open to the living room, and has seating for eight guests around the large table. The spacious kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and bar seating for three guests. Sliding glass doors lead from the great room to the spacious wrap around deck with a gas grill for home cooked meals that can be enjoyed at the outdoor dining table. Breathe in the crisp mountain air while enjoying your morning coffee in the comfortable seating.
Downstairs, an additional living area and game room provide ample space for the family to spread out. The game room is set up to provide entertainment for family game night. Fun is sure to be had by all with friendly games of pool, foosball, or at the arcade machine. The garage also has a ping pong table. The game room has a full size futon for an extra sleeping spot. The expansive lower deck features a hot tub, perfect for relaxing after hiking or skiing. Take in the mountain views from multiple sitting areas while sharing tales of your adventures with family and friends. Cedar Crossing Community provides community amenities that guests can enjoy. This two-level log cabin can accommodate up to twelve guests in five bedrooms. The master bedroom is located on the main floor and has a king bed, TV, private ensuite, and access to the deck with a covered sitting area. The queen bedroom is also located on the main floor and has a TV and access to the deck with a covered sitting area. The third bedroom on the main floor has sleeping for two in twin bunkbeds. A common bathroom is available for guests use. Downstairs, two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and twin daybed with twin trundle, and one with two twin beds, share a third full bathroom.
